Make a Comet Recipe


Materials
One sealable plastic bag (sandwich size)
One sealable plastic bag (gallon size)
Ice (enough to fill the gallon-size bag 1/3 of the way)
Whole milk ( 2/3 cup)
Evaporated milk or cream ( 1/3 cup)
Sprinkles, candies, or crushed cookies
Sugar (5 tablespoons)
Salt ( 10 tablespoons)
Vanilla extract (1/4 teaspoon)
Gloves

Procedure
1.     Measure and combine the whole milk, evaporated milk or cream, sugar, and vanilla in the sandwich-size plastic bag.
2.    Add your sprinkles, candies, or cookies.
3.    Seal the bag and make sure it does not leak. Be sure to remove as much air as possible.
4.    Place the bag in the larger gallon-size plastic bag.
5.    Add the ice and salt into the larger bag and seal it. Remove as much air as possible.
6.    Wearing your gloves, shake and knead the gallon-size bag.
7.    Continue to knead and shake the bag until half the ice melts (approximately 10 minutes).
8.    Remove the sandwich bag from the gallon-size bag and rinse any salt off of it.
9.    Pour into a container and enjoy!
