Stations of the Cross

Station 1

The chief priests and people of Jerusalem wanted Jesus to die on the cross. The crowd had a choice between Jesus and Barabbas, and they chose Jesus to die. Pilate didn't want Jesus to die, so he washed his hands and said he was not going to be responsible. The crowd wanted Jesus to be crucified because of his beliefs. Jesus died for the world, so he ignored the people.

Station 2

By your holy cross, you have redeemed the world. The people gave Jesus the cross. He was forced to carry his cross to his own grave. He was given a choice to take back his teachings, but Jesus did not surrender. They gave him a crown of thorns, a staff, and a purple robe. Then, he started the path to Golgotha.
